12-week creativity workshop, starting soon

Mods, please delete this if it's inappropriate. I just wanted to see if anyone here was interested in restarting the 12-week creativity workshop based on Julia Cameron's classic The Artist's Way at the [community profile] artistsway community. This workshop is being revived after a hiatus and will follow Cameron's program closely, but not exactly.

Posting will begin as soon as I find a copy of The Artist's Way, so between 1-2 weeks from now depending on whether I have to order one and wait for it to arrive. I live in kind of a bookstore desert. After that, we'll be posting updates at least weekly. There will be prompts and tasks, liberatory listmaking, Artist's Dates, painful but necessary affirmations, and lots more reminders to make time to write. If that sounds like something you might enjoy, or if you just want another place to talk about writing and other creative endeavors, let me know, or stop by [community profile] artistsway.

Sorry again if this is the wrong kind of post for the community -- I'm happy to delete it myself if so, or to be deleted if that's quicker.

I'm technically a mod but I will defer to the creator of the community on whether or not this is an appropriate post. Personally I appreciate you letting us know about this. I might participate. Sounds like fun.

I think it sounds great! Probably relevant to a lot of our members, so thanks for the heads up, OP! :)

I've vaguely familiar with the book and the concept of morning pages, so this sounds slightly intimidating but also cool. I'd give it a try!

Yay I'm looking forward to this! I've posted to my journal to get the word out to my friends and have joined the comm.

I read a few posts on the community and there was some interesting stuff. I liked some ideas in this one on writer's block:
