Imagine a story you are working on (whether original or fanfic). Now, write it for us - using only twenty words or less. It can focus on a scene or character if you like, but try to encompass as much of the story's atmosphere, themes or journey as you can.

Thanks! I'm liking the look of the place~

This is a sort of neo-victorian fantasy thing that I've been working on, off and on, since I was like...15. Involves mad science and chimeras and revenge. And Eira, who wondered in about a year ago and dripped interesting everywhere. Current draft involves a lot of shoving her at emotional closure, whether she likes it or not. (Context: her lover was the mother of one of the Chimera, and died giving birth to him. Eira has never really...dealt with this.)
