How do you celebrate?

I finished my second draft! I just sent it out to my beta readers, the first time I've ever asked for real feedback on my work (I don't really count my fiction thesis) and I'm so excited!

So that makes me curious - I don't tend to dance, but whenever I've finished a draft or passed a big milestone, I celebrate by dancing alone. Does anyone else do the same? How do you celebrate your writing?

Yay! congrats! :)

I am proud of myself too. I normally write creative non-fiction, but today I started a work of fiction! Science fictiony fiction! I am super stoked with myself. LOL

Me tooooo! LOL

I have no issues writing fanfic or writing about myself *g*, but I haven't written fiction in a really really long time. I've been a bit paralyzed in that regard. I'm excited about this concept.

Wow, congratulations!!! That is awesome, and you should definitely feel proud! :)

I... can't comment because I have never finished a draft of a proper book. I've only finished short stories and, well, fanfiction. But it's always a rush when you type that last word, and then finish editing it. Hopefully I will be able to answer this question someday. XD I imagine it will involve eating a lot of pizza and something alcoholic. lol

Let us know how everything goes!

Usually when I finish something I feel vaguely guilty about not wanting to revise and do something with it and then I move on to something new. I don't think that's really the kind of answer you were looking for.

I'll need to find a way to celebrate once I finish something that I want to submit somewhere but things haven't been going very well lately.

Mostly it's my usual health problems acting up. It feels like I spent more of the last week asleep than awake.

I, uh. Make a blog post (about either an END at the bottom of a first draft, or subbing a final draft to its first market) with a sigh of relief that the thing is Done. And then start the next project. I'm sorry I'm so jaded. :(

A big milestone makes me cheer out loud, though, and I celebrate by immediately sharing as much as I can about it with my friends and family.

Congrats on finishing a second draft!
